Sunday Jan 28, 2024
Sunday Jan 28, 2024
As Pastor Anthony is away, Brian fills in. In today's sermon, he shares with us more on New Life's vision for 2024 - "Choose Life." As he shares a word study on each word of the vision, he lets us know that we, as individuals, have the opportunity each day, each moment, to make a choice. Moses implores the children of Israel, and God is imploring each of us today, to choose life. Let's listen to this sermon from God's Word.

Pray, Grow, Love, Commit #3 - (Be A River)
Sunday Jan 21, 2024
Sunday Jan 21, 2024
As we continue with our initial sermon series of the year, Pastor Anthony talks about Love. God is love and he means for us, as believers, to be conduits of that love to the world around us. God means for us to live our lives in such a way that it constantly points others to Him; His character, His nature, His truth, and His gospel. Just like Matthew 5:16 says, we are to always: "Let [our] light[s] shine before men, that they may see [our] good works, and glorify [our] Father which is in heaven." Let's listen to Pastor Anthony as he shares with us this powerful truth...

Pray, Grow, Love, Commit #2- (Drink, Drink, Drink)
Sunday Jan 14, 2024
Sunday Jan 14, 2024
Continuing with our annual sermon series at the start of each new year, Pastor Anthony draws our attention to 1 Peter 2:1-3 in which Peter is encouraging believers to do 2 things: 1) Lay aside the sins of malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy and all evil speaking; and 2) desire the pure milk of the word. Both of these are absolutely essential for the believer to be able to grow. So, in order to grow, God wants us to drink, drink, drink. Let's listen to this powerful sermon on growing.

Pray, Grow, Love, Commit #1 - (Make Prayer a Priority)
Sunday Jan 07, 2024
Sunday Jan 07, 2024
As we begin with our first sermon of 2024, we enter our yearly "Pray, Grow, Love, Commit" series. Mel brings our sermon today as we focus on the aspect of prayer. Prayer is simply communication with God and is as vital to the believer as breath is to humans. As we spend daily time with our heavenly Father, our focus should shift from our need to "hear" from God and Him answering our prayers to simply wanting to be near Him and spend time with Him. That is truly what is most necessary, not just "getting an answer." Let's listen to this powerful sermon by Mel...

Vision Sunday 2023/2024 - ”Choose Life”
Sunday Dec 31, 2023
Sunday Dec 31, 2023
In the last Sunday of 2023, Pastor Anthony encourages us all to both look back at what the Lord did last year and look forward to what the Lord has in store for us as individuals and as the larger body of Christ in 2024. The theme for New Life in 2024 is, "Choose Life." Our passage comes from Deuteronomy 30:11-20 where Moses is talking to the Israelites right before they cross the Jordan River into the promised land. He is reminding them, and us today, that every day is a decision day for us all. Our choices are simple: life and death, blessing and cursing. Now, what will you choose? Let's listen to this powerful sermon from God's Word...

Advent #4 - The Candle of Love (”God Is Love”)
Sunday Dec 17, 2023
Sunday Dec 17, 2023
In our fourth week of Advent, Jeremiah shares with us about love. In summary, he shares with us from 1 John 4:7-21: "God is love, and shows us love, so we can love others." God's very nature is love. It's not just something He does, it's something He IS. But, He also does more than just talk about it, He shows it. The greatest example comes through the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior. He demonstrated His love by sending His Son to die for us even while we were yet sinners according to Romans 5:8. As a result of us receiving this love, God wants each of us to love others. John tells us that those who say they love God must also show that love to one another. So, let's listen in as Jeremiah shares God's Word with us today...

Advent #3 - The Candle of Joy (”Choose Joy”)
Sunday Dec 10, 2023
Sunday Dec 10, 2023
In our third week of Advent, Pastor Anthony brings us a sermon called, "Choose Joy." As we look at the true meaning of joy, we discover that it much deeper than mere happiness and only comes from the Holy Spirit. John Piper says that true Christian joy "is a good feeling in the soul, produced by the Holy Spirit, as he causes us to see the beauty of Christ in the word and in the world." It is both an emotion that we can "feel" and a choice we can make. But, how? Let's listen to Pastor Anthony as he shares with us about the true meaning of "Joy."

Advent #2 - The Candle of Peace (”The 3 Types of Peace”)
Sunday Dec 03, 2023
Sunday Dec 03, 2023
As we enter our second week of the Advent season here at New Life, Brian steps in to share on the subject of "peace." In our lives, we all need to have peace in three separate areas: Peace with God, Peace within Ourselves, and Peace with Others. How do we achieve that? What are the barriers and benefits of having peace in these three places? In this Christmas season especially, the whole world is seeking true peace. But, where do we find it? True peace only comes in our lives once our relationship with God is made "whole" through Jesus Christ. After that, God can help us to achieve peace everywhere else. Let's listen to Brian as he shares from God's Word on how to have true peace this Christmas.

Advent #1 - The Candle of Hope (”Where Do You Place Your Hope?)
Sunday Nov 26, 2023
Sunday Nov 26, 2023
As we enter the Advent season, today's sermon focuses on the candle of hope. Pastor Anthony asks the question: "What do you place you hope in?" According to Tim Keller's book, Counterfeit Gods, the four things most people struggle placing their hope in are: Comfort, the Approval of Others, Control and Power. If we place our hope and emphasis on any or all of these things, we will find ourselves lost and lashing out to those around us when the stress of life comes. In the end, we must all choose to place our hope in one, and only one, thing; Jesus. He is our Hope, and He is THE only Hope for our world.

The Lord’s Supper - Our New Covenant
Sunday Nov 19, 2023
Sunday Nov 19, 2023
In today's sermon, Pastor Anthony shares about the new covenant we have through Jesus Christ. This covenant being marked in remembrance through the Lord's Supper or Communion. The old covenant is not to be done away with. It serves a purpose; to point out our inability to deal with the sin in our lives. It is meant to point forward to the perfect sacrifice, Jesus. As we share in the Lord's Supper, let us always remember its purpose: to "proclaim the Lord's death until He comes."
