Why I Choose to Believe the Bible

Daniel begins our new sermon series by addressing doubts that at times pop up in regards to the truth and validity of the Bible. He presented arguments from inside and outside of the bible. 

Groups for the church

Daniel Reminded us that the church can be boiled down into a few simple points. The church has the great commission as it's most basic purpose, it is a web of relationships as it's most basic structure, and it has essentials of Discipleship, Outreach, Community, and Worship as it's most basic tasks. 

These most basic feature of church all require us to be closer relationally than we could be in a large gathering. This is yet another reason why Life Groups as so important.

One Another

Daniel spoke to the nature of the church as a web of relationships. He pointed out that even though in many ways one could boil down the church to the simplicity of a network of relationships, God knew his church would need direction so that those relationships didn't fall apart. Daniel used the many times the idea of how the members of the church were to interact with one another as examples of the means God gives to keep our relationships intact. 8.30.15

Study Scripture

Anthony reminded us of the importance of scripture in our lives. He spoke of how we all have the tendency to interpret scripture through what we know, our own point of view. However, it is often most necessary to have others to study scripture with so that we can see scripture from other points of view in order to truly understand a passage. 8.23.15

It's All About Relationships

Daniel began our series "Groups Matter" by illustrating how important being in an authentic relationships is for a personal's spiritual life and for the life of the church. Daniel spoke specifically about how Life Groups and relationships in general were central to the vision of New Life and how we couldn't be the church, biblically, until we entered more authentic relationships with one another and that that really only happens with smaller groups of people.

Anthony finished up our Haggai series on 9.2.15.

Haggai 2:11-19

Pastor Daniel reminded us that we are not saved from our sin by being religious or by keeping a set of rules, but only through relationship with God Himself. However, after salvation, a true relationship with God will result in real heart and life transformation.

Pastor Daniel continued our sermon series on Haggai as he reminded us that obedience always precedes blessing. As believers, we must walk in diligent obedience to the Lord and as a result, he promises to bless us like crazy!
