Monday Jun 08, 2015
Monday Jun 08, 2015
Daniel Reminds us that we were created for God and not God created for us. That we live life with our lives pressed against the stained glass window never seeing its full beauty. If we could just take a step back we could realize that those this world and life aren't perfect God is still making something beautiful out of it.

Pastor Daniel continued with the sermons series, Bring May Flowers. Do you ever feel like you are in a car, your foot is on the the accelerator, but you have no control over the steering? Well, that is the example he used Sunday of the way we feel many times while traveling through this life. Always remember that God has nothing but good for us and He has given us His Word to provide comfort and direction in times of need.

Bring May Flowers - Part 1

Tuesday May 12, 2015
Pastor Daniel officially kicked off a new sermon series called, "Bring May Flowers". During this 5-week session, we will discuss the age-old question: Why do bad things happen?
This is a question that each of us has probably asked and that the world around us continues to bring up as an argument against our God. Therefore, as Christians, we believe that we must have an answer to this question and that it must be based in the Bible.
We first discussed 3 basic principles for this study:
1) Answers to life's big questions can't be based on what we want to be true.
2) Answers to life's big questions can't be based on what we fully understand.
3) There are ultimately two causes of "bad things"- natural/supernatural or humanity
During Part 1, we focused on how God created this world and said that all was "good". This means that God cannot be blamed for the bad things that happen here. Sin has distorted the perfect world and continues to cause many of life's struggles.
However, we are not without hope! The Bible promises that God is our present refuge and strength during pain and that he is our future salvation for a painless eternity!

Daniel continued our Living...Peter Series by examining the greatest transition in the history of Christianity. In Acts 10 the story is recorded how God opened up salvation to all peoples, not just the Jews. In this story we are reminded of how we should welcome everyone into relationships regardless of background, personality, life, look, or anything else. 4.19.15

What About Jesus

Thursday Apr 16, 2015
Daniel continued our series, "Living...Peter", by focusing in on the day of Pentecost and looking now at some things that Peter did well since he had been changed by Jesus death and resurrection.
After discussing some background info on the Jewish audience Peter preached to that day, Daniel "stole Peter's sermon outline" and delivered a message to us with the same central question: "What are you going to do with Jesus?"
You must decide either that he was a crazy person, OR that he is who he said he is. And if you believe he is the Son of God, then you must give him authority in your life. These are ultimately the only options.
