Advent - Week 1 (Candle of Hope/Prophet's Candle)
Sunday Nov 30, 2025
Sunday Nov 30, 2025
As we begin this Christmas season with the first week of Advent, we look at the Candle of Hope. Hope is what sets the stage for peace, joy, and all the other things that are good in our lives. Advent is the season of anticipation and expectation, which is what hope is all about. So, the question we have to ask ourselves is, what or who are we waiting for? Depending on who you ask, you are bound to get different answers. So then, the question isn't just what are we waiting for, but HOW are we waiting? Are we waiting poorly or are we waiting well? How brightly is your own personal "Candle of Hope" burning? Let's look at the Word and see what it has to say about biblical Hope and all that means to us, especially this time of year.

The Mind of Christ ( The Beatitudes)
Sunday Nov 09, 2025
Sunday Nov 09, 2025
This week we continue to look at the mind of Christ, and how that manifests in us and out to those around us. The Lord calls us blessed . He says we ARE blessed in present tense not in future tense in that one day we will be blessed. When we look at the attitudes and what is produced in our hearts it should be merciful, pure in heart . Is your heart actively making peace with the ones around you? Peace is an action, not a passive position. Is your heart courageous in the face of opportunities to serve? Let's examine the word and look at what the Lord has to say about the heart posture along with the mind of Christ and how it is displayed in our lives .

The Mind of Christ (The Beatitudes - Part 1)
Sunday Nov 02, 2025
Sunday Nov 02, 2025
This week, we are diving into the first four beatitudes. God's way of thinking is not just backwards from the world's way of thinking, it is also upside-down. To have the mind of Christ is to also walk in the truths of the beatitudes as well as the fruit of the spirit. So, how is it being "poor in spirit" and someone who "mourns" walking in the mind of Christ? Likewise, how is being "meek," and being "hungry and thirsty" walking in the mind of Christ? Let's examine the Word, see what God has to say about these things, and learn how to apply them to our lives so that we can indeed have the "Mind of Christ."

Mind of Christ (Be attitudes)
Sunday Oct 26, 2025
Sunday Oct 26, 2025
Jesus humbled himself and made himself of no reputation, and was obedient until death. He also calls us blessed, not because we feel blessed but because he defines that differently. He says that if we are poor in spirit , mourning, meek, merciful, pure at heart, if we are peacemakers, if we are persecuted, and if we hunger and thirst we are blessed. That list of eight I know is different from what I say when I tell someone I am blessed. How is it that Jesus was all of those things and was he himself blessed, like he calls us? How can we be deeply happy, spiritually fulfilled, and fully satisfied if we are persecuted or poor in spirit? How does that work ? When we are walking with Jesus and becoming more and more like him , how can we count ourselves blessed in the same way he says we are blessed? Let us examine the word of the Lord and divine into what Jesus means when he calls us blessed.

Trusting the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and understanding. In so many ways it can be easy to trust in what you feel is best at the time. But when you truly trust the Lord, that means trusting Him no matter what we be seeing, feeling or experiencing at the moment. Let's dive into the Word together with Jeremiah to help get a better understanding of what this looks like.

Attributes of God (God is Immutable)
Sunday Sep 28, 2025
Sunday Sep 28, 2025
God knows where we are, He knows what we can handle and He knows what it will take to get us to where we are going. One of the best things about God and his character is that He is unable to change (Immutable). He is unchangeable in his love, his purpose for you, in his essence, in his truth and in his faithfulness. In all that God is, he is constant and unchangeable. When we are surrounded by nothing but change, God himself is constant, and that truth is our solid foundation that we can stand on no matter what is going on around us. Let's dive into his Word and really examine what it looks like for the Lord to be immutable, and what that means for us.

The Mind of Christ (fruit of the Spirit , Faithfulness)
Sunday Sep 21, 2025
Sunday Sep 21, 2025
Today we look at Faithfulness, We have many ways in which to be faithful, God and his faithfulness to us , our faithfulness to him, and lastly our faithfulness to one another . God can not be anything but faithful to us . He always keeps his word, He never withholds his love from us no matter what we do. When we look at ourselves, are we faithful to God in the same way he is faithful to us ? Furthermore, are we faithful to others in the way the Lord is faithful to us? Following the Lord means to be Christ like even in the way we are faithful. Lets take a look at the word and see what the Lord has to say about faithfulness.

Mind of Christ ( The Fruit of the Spirit - Patience )
Sunday Aug 17, 2025
Sunday Aug 17, 2025
The word patience literally means to be "LONG in suffering." It is interesting that we think it is more acceptable to be impatient, rather than to be unfaithful or unloving. Why is that? There are so many thoughts about patience, such as God's patience with us, our patience with others, and how to be patient in trials. The Word says that God can use our trials to purify our faith and help to produce patience. Patience is not simply waiting, it's HOW we wait and what comes out of us in the waiting. Let's go to the Word and explore the spiritual fruit of patience.

The Mind of Christ ( Fruit of the Spirit - Peace )
Sunday Aug 10, 2025
Sunday Aug 10, 2025
We are taking a look at peace. We can evaluate how much we trust God in how much peace is present in our lives. There is a noticeable difference between peace with God and peace of God . In the word Jesus is called the Prince of Peace which would make God the King of Peace . Its an interesting thought to think that Jesus came to restore our relationship with the King of Peace and restore who we are so we can walk him in peace. Lets listen and dive into the word and really discover peace.
